Master Player is a macOS application developed by MusiCat Studio for audio engineers and music producers to play, compare, and analyze audio mixes with professional metering tools.

The short version: Master Player does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. All audio files and settings remain entirely on your device. No network connections are made.

Master Player accesses audio files only when explicitly selected by the user through the system file picker or by drag-and-drop. The app operates entirely within macOS App Sandbox.
Security-scoped bookmarks: To remember user-selected files and folders across launches, Master Player stores security-scoped bookmarks locally using macOS's standard bookmark API. These bookmarks are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted.
No background access: The app does not access your file system in the background or outside of files you have explicitly selected.
Audio content is processed entirely on-device for playback, waveform rendering, and metering (LUFS, True Peak, Spectrum, Goniometer). No audio data is uploaded or shared.
Master Player does not use any third-party services, analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app makes no network connections of any kind.
Master Player does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not collect personal data from any user regardless of age.
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the app's functionality or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Master Player after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
