A great recording starts with a performer who feels at ease, before any microphone or equipment. As a performer turned engineer, I look after the small details so you can focus fully on your sound and emotion. With that freedom, a prepared performance can become something unexpected—an expression, a connection, a feeling even you hadn’t imagined.

세상에 닿도록
한 곡의 음악에는 들리는 것보다 훨씬 많은 이야기가 담겨 있습니다. 문득 떠오른 멜로디를 붙잡던 순간부터, 가사 한 줄을 몇 번이고 고쳐 쓰던 시간, 머릿속에 그려온 사운드를 찾기 위해 수없이 연주하던 날들까지. 그렇게 완성한 곡이 처음 상상했던 모습으로 세상에 나오기를 바라는 마음을, 저 역시 음악을 만드는 아티스트로서 깊이 이해합니다.
하지만 그 마음이 녹음과 믹싱의 과정에서 충분히 존중받지 못한다고 느낄 때가 있습니다. 낯선 환경에서 편하게 의견을 꺼내기 어렵거나, 원하는 소리를 설명해도 뜻이 제대로 전해지지 않거나, 아직 아쉬움이 남아 있는데 다음 단계로 넘어가야 하는 순간들. 소중한 음악을 맡기는 일에는 기대만큼이나 큰 신뢰와 용기가 필요하다는 것을 알고 있습니다.
MusiCat Studio에서는 아티스트가 자신의 음악을 편안하게 이야기할 수 있기를 바랍니다. 어떤 감정을 담고 싶었는지, 어떤 소리를 오래 상상해 왔는지, 지금 무엇이 마음에 걸리는지부터 귀 기울여 듣겠습니다. 원하는 방향을 전문적인 용어로 설명하지 않아도 괜찮습니다. 함께 음악을 듣고 이야기를 나누며, 막연했던 느낌이 구체적인 사운드가 될 수 있도록 곁에서 돕겠습니다.

A song holds more than its final few minutes can reveal: a melody caught before it slipped away, a line rewritten until it felt true, hours spent searching for a sound that existed only in your imagination. By the time you bring it into a studio, you have already given it so much of yourself. You hope it will reach the world as you imagined it.
Yet the studio is not always an easy place to be heard. You might hesitate to ask for another take, struggle to explain what feels missing from a mix, or feel rushed before you are ready. I know how disheartening it can be when something so personal seems to matter less to the people you have entrusted it to.
My work as an engineer is shaped by my own experience as an artist. At MusiCat Studio, you can speak openly about the feeling behind a lyric, the sound you have imagined, or anything that still feels unresolved. You don’t need technical terms or all the answers. We can listen, ask questions, and find that sound together.
During recording, I want you to feel at ease enough to give yourself to the performance. During mixing, there is room for honest conversation and thoughtful decisions. We will keep returning to your intentions as the song develops, so that you feel part of every important choice—and connected to the music you came here to make.
